The player must earn points by killing enemies using unique abilities and use his points to unlock additional items and features. A variety of weapons available and the player can use them during battle. During the gameplay, the player can navigate the world to interact with non-players characters and fulfill multiple tasks assigned by NPCs. There is various character classes present, and the player selects one of them to get into the world where he has to battle enemies and monsters to earn points. The game offers the similar gameplay to Dynasty Warrior 6 and centers on hack and slash elements.
